The 416 Triangle proof mark represents Chinese State Arms Factory 976 in Shan Dong Province in Eastern China. Factory 976 was not as largely producing or as common in the US as Factory 366, but did produce some extremely high quality copies that were exported early on through Poly Technologies (Beijing). Factory proof marks utilizing a triangle indicate the factory is engaged in military manufacturing, and numerical designations ending in a 6 indicate engagement in the manufacturing of small arms. The triangle 416 logo or proof mark can be found on the trunnion of Chinese Kalashnikovs manufactured at State Arms Factory 976.
